The Mcusta MC-0185G Sengoku Uesugi Kenshin is an exceptional Japanese pocket knife, distinguished by its exquisite detailing. The handle is particularly striking, crafted from 3D-milled micarta to create an elegant yet functional grip, enhancing both aesthetics and traction.

This version features an outstanding blade with a core of SPG2 powdered steel. SPG2 is an exceptionally hard steel, renowned for its superior edge retention. The core is laminated between two layers of softer steel, combining the sharpness and durability of the core with the flexibility of the laminated layers. Mcusta has further enhanced this remarkable steel with a hammered finish, adding both beauty and craftsmanship.

The laser engraving on the handle is truly unique. On the left side, two swallows accompany the Japanese characters for Uesugi Kenshin, while the right side bears the engraving Gunshin, meaning « god of war » or « war hero. » Uesugi Kenshin was a powerful 16th-century samurai warlord, one of the three great leaders who unified feudal Japan. The swallows represent Kenshin’s kamon (family crest), adding historical significance to this magnificent knife.
